Beta terms
Play fairly, protect your account and expect a work in progress. These are the ground rules for the Word World Champ beta.
Updated
An experimental service
Word World Champ is a browser word game in beta. Features, rules and presentation may change as testing continues. Bugs, interruptions and lost or reset game progress are possible, so do not rely on a beta match or local collection as a permanent record.
Championship matches use a shared board and a ten-minute clock for each player. The server decides accepted moves, scores and remaining time. A connection problem does not necessarily pause a running match.
Respect the game and other players
- Use names and handles that do not impersonate someone else or target people with abuse.
- Do not tamper with game requests, exploit bugs, evade safeguards or attempt to read another player's private rack or credentials.
- Do not overload the service or try to gain unauthorized access to accounts, rooms or infrastructure.
- Keep invitations and guest seat details private unless you intend to share access.
If you find a bug or security issue, report what happened privately using the contact below. Do not include another person's private data in a public report.
Keep your account safe
Use an email address you can access, protect your password and sign out on shared devices. Never share a confirmation code, recovery code or saved session credential. Google sign-in and email sign-in are both available.
Guest progress and reconnection details may be saved only in your browser. Clearing site data or changing devices can remove access to that local progress. See the privacy page for how account, match and device data are used.
